The hills are softly illuminated by the early light, their greens taking on an almost otherworldly glow. Below, the river glints as it winds toward the reservoir, catching the sun like a ribbon of light. I came across this view after descending Pen y Fan on the Horseshoe hike, which was a cold, muddy, joyful adventure I won’t soon forget.
