My oil painting transports you to an evening in Serifos. The town of Livadi is peaceful, slowly preparing the tavernas to open for Greek Orthodox Easter. As the sun sets, the town of Hora sparkles atop the mountain above.
I visited Serifos in April this year. All the tavernas along the port were just beginning to awaken after Winter, setting up to open for Greek Orthodox Easter. I missed the last bus up to the town perched on the mountain, so settled in with a bottle of ouzo and this view instead - a happy compromise!
